WHO is now concerning about an explosive increase of Ebola because city of Mbandaka is located on the Congo river, and it may have huge risk of spreading to surrounding countries.
People are infected by the Ebola through the blood, organs or other body fluids of infected animals such as chimpanzees, gorillas, monkeys and so on. For protecting from Ebola, WHO sent 4,000 doses of experimental vaccine to the Congo, and it would be given as a priority people in Mbandaka. The Ebola vaccine called rVSV-ZEBOV is provided and has been shown to be safe in humans and highly effective against the Ebola virus.
