Diphtheria is spreading in Bangladesh

Others

Diphtheria is spreading fast in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh according to WHO.  Cox’s Bazar where diphtheria is spreading is the area that Rohingya refugees moved in because of armed conflict in Myanmar.

The reason why diphtheria is spreading is they have not had vaccine, the rate of vaccination for Rohingya refugees are low.  Because of this, the risk of infection for infectious disease such as diphtheria, Cholera, Measles, and Rubella is high.  On November, Yemen also had an outbreak of diphtheria infection because of low rate of vaccination.

Like these case, the main reason people who have infectious disease is not having vaccination.  If you go abroad, it is good idea collecting information about a country where you have plan to go and having vaccination for protecting yourself.
