Hepatitis A spreads from San Diego, CA

Vaccination for Travel

 An outbreak of Hepatitis A is occurred in Utah and Michigan.  Health officials in Utah said thousands of people may have been exposed in Utah.  They said Hepatitis A is originally spread from San Diego, Ca.  In Utah’s case, health officials have confirmed 152 cases, but no death case was reported.  On the other hand, in Michigan, thousands of people are infected Hepatitis A virus and 22 people are killed.  Both Utah and Michigan department of health and wellness confirmed the Hepatitis A have spreading from San Diego, CA by the test.  San Diego origin Hepatitis A may also spread to Arizona and Colorado. 

Hepatitis A is a highly contagious liver disease that is spread by human feces with disease, food and water that are handled by who has not properly washed their hand, sexual contact and using drug.

  • The symptoms of Hepatitis A are;
  • \r\n

  • Fatigue
  • \r\n

  •  Sudden nausea and vomiting
  • \r\n

  •  Abdominal pain or discomfort, especially on the upper right side beneath your lower ribs (by your liver)
  • \r\n

  •  Clay-colored bowel movement
  • \r\n

  •  Loss of appetite
  • \r\n

  •  Low-grade fever
  • \r\n

  • Dark urine
  • \r\n

  •  Joint pain
  • \r\n

  •  Yellowing of the skin and the whites of your eyes (jaundice)
  • \r\n

  •  Intense itching
  • \r\n

If you had traveled these are and have symptoms, please contact doctors near your house.  If you have plant to go these area, we recommend have the Hepatitis A vaccine at least two weeks before travel.
