Many people have been sick with influenza in California, and 27 people who are younger than 65 have died since October 2017. Number of patients reaches high in February this season, but it reaches high anytime from October to April before. In fact, only three people in California were killed by flu last year, but 68 people had passed away this season. Even doctors prescribe medicine for influenza, people are having hard time to get the flu medicine called Tamiflu because of the outbreak.
In Japan, some prefecture such as Oita, Miyazaki, Kumamoto, Okinawa announced influenza alert from warning on January 5, 2018, and Fukushima, Kanagawa, Gunma, Ibaraki and so on announced Influenza warning.
